CROSS Services provides food assistance through several programs:
- Let's Do Lunch! Program
Let's Do Lunch! (formerly Meals on Wheels) delivers nutritious, hot meals to older, disabled and home-bound individuals Monday through Friday for a small fee. Meals are delivered each weekday between approximately 11:00 AM and 12:30 PM. Click here for more information. - Mobile Food Pantry

The City's Fire Department replaces smoke alarm batteries for free for any older adult (60+) and can provide free smoke alarms for residents meeting income guidelines.
Household and Outdoor Maintenance (HOME) program from Senior Community Services

Providing affordable personal technology assistance, minor home repairs, home safety checks, housekeeping, and lawn care/snow removal for those age 60 and older. Some services are available at no cost; rates for paid services are based on a participant’s income and ability to pay.

Help At Your Door Grocery Assistance is a nonprofit service that helps older adults and people with disabilities. Groceries are delivered to you at home, and the service can include help putting the groceries away if needed. Grocery orders can be placed over the phone or online. Fees are based on income.

Offered through CEAP (Community Emergency Assistance Programs), 65 & Thrive helps provide services such as caregiver support, care coordination, home repair, and more.

Help at Your Door is a nonprofit organization that offers grocery assistance, home support and transportation services to older adults and people with disabilities in the 7-county metro area.
Hennepin County Library - At Home Service

Hennepin County Library offers At Home service free of charge to Hennepin County residents who cannot get to a library due to illness, disability, or visual impairment. Materials and services are either delivered in person by a volunteer to your home or sent by U.S. mail at no charge to you with return postage paid. Click here to learn more.

The MN Elder Justice Center helps prevent and alleviate abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation of elder and vulnerable adults. It provides information and training about helping to prevent and spot abuse. It works with victims of abuse as well as professionals who work with older people.

The Office of Ombudsman for Long-Term Care helps investigate complaints and resolve disputes concerning the health, safety, welfare and rights of people using long-term care services, at no charge to the consumer. This includes care at long-term care facilities, home and community-based settings, and home care services.
